Enrolment

This page is set up to help you through the enrolment process at Kakaramea School. I enjoy taking time to meet new families to our school. If you are considering Kakaramea School, then call the school office on 06 273 8695 and make an appointment. I am more than happy to meet with parents of children who have just turned four and walk them around the school. It is important that parents with pre-school children let us know they are in our community.

Pre School children

This is an important stage for your child. Kakaramea School has a Step Up 4 School programme for students from the age of four years old. These are held every second Wednesday for an hour in the afternoons from 2pm which you need to pre-enrol for. The junior classroom teacher leads learning with the group students and parents are encouraged to stay in the classroom with their child and be apart of the learning.

We liaise with Patea Kindergarten, local playgroups and Kohanga Reo providers.

Just prior to turning five years old we encourage at least two visits to school. Your child must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver.

During the enrolment process of a five year old children we require a copy of their birth certificate, immunisation record and other forms to be filled in.

School age children transitioning to Kakaramea

We required you to fill in our enrolment form and other school forms . If you are moving on the 1st of June, feel free to come and visit the school with your child before the changeover.
