Absences

If your child is absent from school, please contact the office on 273 8695 or text message the school cell phone 021 08100694 before 9:10am. You can leave a message, please state the child’s name and reason for the absence. If no reason is given it is recorded as explained but unjustified absence according to the Ministry of Education guidelines.

• Please avoid unnecessary interruptions to students learning.
• If the absence is long term, please put this in writing and hand to the office.
• If students are late for school, please notify the office. Late arrivals are also recorded on our attendance system.

If you follow these requests, we will not have to contact you to check on the student’s health and safety. If there is a major concern about your child’s continued lack of attendance, we will contact you by phone, email or mail with details from our system so that you are fully aware of the reasons for the contact.
